The Invitation to Self-Denial

The next stop on Jesus’ “Journey to the Cross” confronts our deepest assumptions. We are taught to find ourselves by expressing, promoting, and protecting the self. Jesus says we find true life by surrendering it—by taking up our cross and following him.
